Have you noticed that recently, at cafés and hotel lobbies, a charging zone has quietly appeared under the tabletop or on the coffee table? Place your phone on it and the charging icon lights up—no hunting for outlets, no borrowing a power bank. Behind this is the concentrated rollout of home and public-space wireless charging in 2026.

Office buildings moved first. In first-tier cities, a considerable share of co-working and high-end office desks now come standard with wireless charging spots. At work you place the phone on the desk and top up while you work, no more bowing to find the port. Meeting rooms and lounges followed.

Hotels are another big buyer. Embedded wireless charging modules are appearing more in business-hotel nightstands and lobby coffee tables. Guests no longer ask the front desk for a cable; place it on the nightstand and it charges, reducing service requests. Modules usually do 25W fast charging to the Qi2.2 standard, compatible with Apple, Huawei, Xiaomi, Samsung.

Dining and transit scenes are following. Chain restaurants embed charging pads in tables; high-speed rail stations and airports fit seats with wireless charging spots; even bus seatbacks have vendors adding them. For operators, this is a low-cost service upgrade that extends dwell time and boosts satisfaction.

These scenes mostly use embedded modules with higher requirements and safety standards than home: foreign-object detection, over-temperature protection, and dynamic power adjustment are all mandatory, plus Qi certification. After all, public-space equipment runs 24/7, so stability is a hard metric.

For wireless charging manufacturers, home and public-space wireless charging is a new growth curve. Compared with retail, such B2B orders are large and repeat steadily, and allow design and customization—embedding charging modules into furniture, front desks, and service counters for cleaner, more modern spaces.
