Qi2.2 Certified Products Top 600: Why Magnetic Multi-Device Charging Hits Its Tipping Point in 2026

Published:2026-07-21

Digging through the WPC certification database recently, one change stands out: products certified for Qi2.2 with power raised to 25W have passed the 600 mark. A year ago the number was in the low hundreds - faster growth than most expected. For ordinary users this means magnetic fast charging is no longer a flagship privilege; mid-range phones and a wave of third-party accessories have caught up.

What 25W really means is that wireless charging finally matches the tier people take for granted in wired fast charging. The old impression that wireless is slow largely came from the 7.5W and 15W eras. With 25W, topping up during fragmented moments already feels close to plugging in.

The bigger deal is Qi2's magnetic alignment standard. Charging that failed to start or dropped midway was mostly a matter of misaligned coils. Once Qi2 standardized ring position and magnetic strength, charging phone, earbuds and watch at the same time finally became stable - which is why many call 2026 the tipping-point year for magnetic multi-device charging.

From a buyer's perspective my advice is plain: trust the Qi2.2 / 25W certification mark rather than marketing slogans about 'super fast wireless'. Products traceable in the certification directory are the ones that actually ran the protocol and calibrated their thermals. Makers who handle design, customization, manufacturing and sales in-house and dare to print certification numbers in the spec sheet are the ones worth your money.
